It's that time of year again! Come audition for company's 2017 performance of "The Vagina Monologues!"
Not an actor? Not a problem! The Company is looking for ANYBODY on the female / woman identity / non-cis male spectrum who is interested in being a part of a wild celebration of women, vaginas, and human connection. There are monologues that are less like acting and more like reading Facts, and opportunities for stage crew. It's fun, it's feisty, and it's a little bit scandalous, but most of all - it's an important story that belongs to all of us, and we'd love for you to help us tell it.
THERE ARE NO CUTS - Auditions are just a chance for us to fit you to a part. If you try out, you will be in the show.
If you have a part that you'd like to try out for, feel free to come prepared with a reading! If you have NO idea where to start but want to be prepared, take a look at the beginning and end portions of the following monologues: I was There in the Room, The Flood, My Angry Vagina, Because He Liked To Look at It, and My Vagina Was My Village.
WHEN IS THE SHOW? - "The Vagina Monologues" this year will take place on March 9th at 7pm, and March 11th at 3pm and 7pm (yep that's right, a matinee showing!). Dress rehearsal is on March 8th at 8pm, and rehearsals will again be every Saturday in the Spring semester leading up to the performance, from 11am-2pm (location TBA).
Auditions will take a maximum of 20 minutes, and will run on a first come, first serve basis.
