Auditions: Kiss Me Kate.
Opening March 3rd, 2017 and running until March 26th.
"Kiss Me, Kate" is a musical written by Samuel and Bella Spewack with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The story involves the production of a musical version of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and the conflict on and off-stage between Fred Graham, the show's director, producer, and star, and his leading lady, his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi. A secondary romance concerns Lois Lane, the actress playing Bianca, and her gambler boyfriend, Bill, who runs afoul of some gangsters.
Songs include: Another Op'ning, So in Love, Tom,Dick and Harry, Too Darn Hot and AlwaysTrue to You Darlin in my Fashion.
The show opens March 3 and plays through March 26. Must be able to do all performances.
Rehearsals will begin mid January.
Auditions will consist of: cold readings, learning a few dance steps and singing (16 bars of a song that best shows your range).
