Auditions for "Nickel and Dimed" Play.
"Nickel and Dimed" is based on Barbara Ehrenreich's bestselling book "Nickel and Dimed, on (Not) Getting by in America." In the play, Barbara agrees to research a news story about low wage workers in America. She goes undercover to see if a middle-class, middle aged woman can make it on $7 an hour. Barbara's adventures are epic, funny, sobering, and ultimately thought provoking. Time magazine called the play a "rare example of theater that tries to open people's eyes to the way life is lived in the real world."
