Audition for "TAFFETAS"
Studio Musical (follow the link to fill out an audition form)
Actors will receive acting sides (sections of the script pertaining to specific characters) and musical sides (sections of songs on sheet music pertaining to specific characters). These take the place of a monologue and song. Auditioners will be taught the music and given time to read over the sides during auditions. When possible, we will post the sides ahead of time outlined below by character of interest. Dress code for auditions is business casual with the ability to do choreography during the dance portion of the audition when required. Call-Backs are usually immediately following auditions on the same day. Cast lists are posted online and emailed to all auditioners by the next business day.
Rehearsal dates are flexible and change with each director, but tend to be Sundays through Thursdays from 6-9pm (with a more rigorous schedule during tech-week). (You must be available for every performance).
Here is a character breakdown, there is some flexibility in requirements within reason (such as age). Some limitations are non-negotiable, so please plan accordingly. You have the ability to indicate which role you are interested in on your audition form, along with whether or not you would accept an ensemble role. Please be honest in your willingness to participate, as this helps the casting process go more smoothly.
