Big Band ISO Guitar Player.
The Big Band Theory of Baltimore has a position for a guitar player. If you are interested please call for details. Players must be able to commit to weekly Thursday night rehearsals and read music. There will be times when you would be playing a gig or rehearsal alone and must be able to carry the spot.
We play a variety of music from big band standards to oldies, classic rock, country and more all with a stage band sound. Charts are anywhere from easy to advanced in difficulty. We rehearse from now until September at The American Legion in Curtis Bay from 7-9:30 pm. We also have an average of 2 gigs we perform a month. This is not a career position and you won't get rich playing with us. We perform some charity events as well as paying gigs. All band members are independent contractors that make 2.5% of the total amount we receive for paid gigs. For those that do not offer monetary compensation, usually refreshment is provided.
We will be performing for the Allen Pond Concert Series, Oakcrest Village, Downs Park Concert Series, The Knights of Columbus Annual Ball and more.
