Auditions for Spring Awakening
April 13th, 14th, & 15th
This Student-led production will be directed as part of an Honors Research Capstone project. The content of the musical will remain the same but the Time/Setting has been shifted to the 1950's of the United States by integrating iconic 1950's culture through the use of costumes, movement, and props. The purpose of this shift is to expose the reality of the sexually oppressive, post-WWII America and how that era is still embedded in our current culture.
Who: ALL students, as well as members of the Amherst community, are welcome. This production is also open to and encourages performers of any race, gender, ability, sexuality, or other defining identities to audition. The production team does request that due to the content of the show that auditions be limited to actors 18 years or older.

Signs directing you to auditions will be posted in the Theatre dept. on the above days.
