Bassist needed for working band.
We are looking for a bassist for a working cover band. We aim to play every Friday and Saturday (maybe some gigs during the week) to start. If you only play metal, thank you for your time, but don't apply. We do not play metal. Ideally, we want someone who plays and listens to indie music. Arcade fire, the shins, the national, black keys, mason jennings, death cab for cutie kind of stuff. We record original music, but that is in it's larval stage at this point. Our long term goals include touring and releasing original music, but that is probably down the road a ways.
The cover project is more important to us right now. We need someone who can learn their own stuff. You must learn your parts for each rehearsal (around six or seven new songs each rehearsal). Most gigs will be in the metro area. It is decent money for the amount of work involved. Pay will always be split evenly. We rehearse in Northeast Minneapolis. If you think you would be a good fit, text with your name, age, and experience performing.
- reliable transportation
- professional equipment
- age 21+
- available to play every weekend (a week off every once in awhile is fine.)
- available to rehearse as many as three nights a week (when we are gigging, we will cut down to a rehearsal every week or two.)
- a good attitude
