Model Casting Call.
I am a senior at the University of Minnesota, in the Apparel Design program.
Every year the seniors of this program create their own runway fashion show. This show has even been advertised as part of MN Fashion Week. This year I am the volunteer coordinator for the show, Instinct, and I am recruiting models to walk the runway in the designers collections.
This year we have 15 primary designers, and somewhere around 40 secondary designers. This means approximately 100 looks, and 100 models, are included in the showcase.
The show takes place Saturday, February 4th, 2017, and there are two showings in the afternoon and evening. Models cannot be paid, but receive the chance to gain experience on the runway.
They receive professional hair and makeup for lookbook shoots, as well as the day of the show. Models are free to utilize the images for their portfolios. All models must be able to commit to multiple fittings between October and December, but scheduling is flexible. They must also commit to the full day of the show.
Males of all ages and sizes are welcomed.
