We will be having open auditions for Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. The show will run from February 3 to February 19, 2017.
Callbacks to be held on Sunday, November 6 from 6:00 - 11:00 p.m.
Death of a Salesman addresses loss of identity and a man's inability to accept change within himself and society. The play is a montage of memories, dreams, confrontations, and arguments, all of which make up Willy Loman's life.
Familiarity with the play will be a great advantage to you at the auditions. You will be reading scenes from the play for the open call. Listed ages are approximate for all characters except Linda, Biff and Happy.
LINDA LOMAN (F-mid 50s to mid 60s) Willy's wife. She struggles to nurture and love her family and be the anchor and support they need.
THE WOMAN (F-20s to 40s) Willy's mistress. They meet in a hotel room in Boston.
JENNY (F-Any age) Charley's secretary.
MISS FORSYTHE (F-20s to 40s) A Party woman.
LETTA (F-20s to 40s) A Party woman.
Some roles may be doubled.
Rehearsals will probably be two weeknights from 7-10 and one weekend rehearsal, probably Sunday evening. Specifics to be determined once the show is cast. Auditions are on a first come/first serve basis. No audition appointments are necessary. No paid stipends will be available. Questions can be addressed by calling.
