Actress to costar. Must be able to sing. Character is early 20s. Simple 15 minute short.
I am the Writer and Director of Wildfire. I am working on some large feature film screenplays but they are requiring vast amounts of research and will not go into production for a long time. I wrote Wildfire as a way to create something to hold me over. It's a simple easy 2 character dialogue that is slightly autobiographical.
The Character, Melissa, is a take-no-sh*t confident person but also a very loyal friend beneath her abrasive exterior. Her and Derek (who will be played by myself) are very skilled "buskers" (street musicians) who have been performing for over a year straight but Derek has suddenly flaked on her and has been out of contact for 3 weeks. Melissa is determined to track him down and find out what his excuse is for bailing, as well, secretly, to check on her friend.
Roughly 15 minutes and will be filmed at two locations. An apartment in Glassboro NJ and The Boardealk of Atlantic City. The plan is to only need to set up the shooting equipment an easy 3 times for the required shots.
95 percent of the film is high tension dialogue on a couch. Actor must be able to monologue.
