"Big Kids" is a new developmental musical play written by Drew University seniors Shafer Ward and Philipe AbiYouness.
The play centers around the Randall family, which is comprised of Stan, a local comedian and stay-at-home dad, Melanie, a project manager at Gate Farm Insurance, and Morgan and Jake, who are elementary schools students. The family dynamic is disturbed when each of the parents find themselves less and less able to be at home. As the parents begin to skirt their responsibilities and act like children, the children assume more responsibility over themselves and take on the role of adults. In this fun and playful world, kids play adults and adults play kids as the tables are flipped on presenting the family in this fun musical dramedy.
