My play "Give Lois A Lay" got into Manhattan Repertory Theatre's 10 Minute Play Contest. It's a funny and slightly perverted story about an old woman trying to relive the past and sleep with a man who looks like the guy who took her virginity 55 years ago.
I'm looking for comedians.
LOIS: (Actor any age, I'll just buy a wig) A 75-year-old woman in a miserable marriage. She has seven kids but only acknowledges six of them. She's spent her entire life in North Platte, Nebraska as a housewife. She drinks at the bar that's right across the street from the park where she lost her virginity. That was the best day of her life and she always wished she married the soldier who "opened her up" opposed to her husband.
JIM: A newly 21-year-old college student helping out his aunt on the farm for the summer. He's a good Christian boy who is poorly trying to get a summer girlfriend.
Dress rehearsal: Tuesday October 25th (8:30 - 10:45)
Performance 1: Wednesday October 26th (9:00 pm)
Performance 2: Saturday October 29th 9:00 pm
Finals (WHEN we make it): October 30th 7:00 p.m.
$200 goes to the winner. We can split that equally.
I will also be filming it so you'll have it for your reel (free)
Please submit if interested!
