The Company is hosting open auditions for our Valentine's Day show "Eurydice" by Sarah Ruhl.
Director is looking to fill most roles. No preparation is necessary as auditioners will be asked to read from the script.
Plot: Just in time for Valentine's Day we have the first Special Production of our 2017 season, "Eurydice" by Sarah Ruhl. In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a
fresh look at a timeless love story.
"Eurydice" runs for 6 performances: February 10-18, 2017.
Character descriptions are below:
Eurydice: A young woman (early 20s), curious about the world but inexperienced in it. Full of life and energy (even in the underworld).
Chorus of Stones: A chorus made up of residents of the land of the dead. Open to any gender/age.
