Casting Call for "Cartoonish" Short Film.
A famous animator inadvertently warps a ten year old boy's imagination.
A ten page short film shooting in January, with an estimated two day shoot.
"Cartoonish: explores controversial themes such as gun control, suicide, and how twisted a 10 year old's imagination can become when exposed to these issues. The film is a mix of live action and animation and will be made with a small and professional crew and gear. The animated segments are completed, and anyone cast will get to see them prior to the production, so you get a full sense of what the film is trying to convey.
This film will offer plenty of exposure since the film will be submitted to many film festivals and eventually be shown online.
My past short films (Dolls for Strangers, My Face, Liquid Lungs) have been Official Selections and won Best Shorts awards.
Filming is predicted to be no more than two days.
Payment and meals will be included as well. Gas compensation will not be included. Work hours each day are predicted to be up to eight hours, which includes breaks when needed.
Looking for actors that can work as locals since lodging and gas expenses will not be provided.
Once again, subject matter in this short film is darker and controversial, so only submit if you have an open mind. Themes included are suicide and easy access to guns, and how a 10 year old interprets them.
