Synopsis: A 3-5 minute scene from the 2011 political drama, "The Ides of March".
Stephen Meyers - male, any ethnicity, (20s to early-30s) - A polished junior campaign manager, Stephen's not new to the political cycle, but he's proven more green than expected as his own unsuspecting behaviors come to threaten his one job, which he must again secure via the same political machine that he earlier discounted.
Paul Zara - male, any ethnicity, (mid-30s to 50s) - A stern, well-versed senior campaign manager, Paul has intuitive knowledge of the political sphere. He regards trust as an invaluable element in the daily workings of the campaign, and in doing so, must fire Stephen upon learning that he may have confided in the opposing campaign.

This scene will be performed as an in-class exercise for an undergraduate Directing Workshop taught by Professor Andrew Shea at UT Austin.
- 3 rehearsals prior to the in-class presentation date (Tuesday, November 8th)
- Availability to stay for a 40-minute time slot between 2pm-5pm on the presentation date (Tuesday, November 8th)
- Availability within the week after the in-class performance to film the scene.
