"YOU'RE SO COOL, BREWSTER!" NOW CASTING THE "KILLER" ROLE OF "EVIL" ED!
A once-in-a-lifetime, multi-media theatrical opportunity!
We are very excited to be mounting the OFFICIAL world premiere stage adaptation of the classic 1985 horror film "FRIGHT NIGHT," written and directed by playwright James Michael Shoberg! This is your chance to audition for an iconic horror role from the cult film of the same name and be seen in this high-profile, live project which will be followed by influential eyes as it's advertised nationwide!
At present, we're focusing on one of the roles "to have," the eccentric and over-the-top "Evil" Ed Thompson-the young man with one of the most famous catch phrases from the film.
We're casting local (Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, including WV), non-equity performers with a passion for horror. We also want to clarify that we're not looking for carbon copies of the actors from the film. Rage is well-known for re-imagining known properties with a unique twist.
The production is targeted for 2017.
If you're interested in submitting, please follow the instructions below carefully:
Please email your headshots (or recent, accurate photos), complete stats (height, weight, age (not age-range), and your theatrical resume (if you have one).
Please note that we are an independent, self-funded fringe theatre company. All roles are unpaid.
Thank you for bearing with us. Now on to the fun stuff.
"EVIL" ED THOMPSON (Male, 19 to early 20s, must be able to pass as a teenager) - Charley Brewster's quirky 80's punk friend-a giggling, awkward loner, who's utterly obsessed with all things horror.
Feel free to watch the film for the basic idea of what we're pursuing, but understand that as this is a theatrical interpretation, and some liberties will be taken. The pictures should NOT be viewed as a rigid example of what we're looking for.
Please direct all questions and submissions. You will receive a confirmation email in return so you know we received it. No follow-up emails are necessary.
