Mini Biography
Natacha Cha-cha Martin, is a Haitian/American girl who works hard to leave a mark in the hearts of her audience. With a wide range of abilities, she is an exceptional commodity in the entertainment industry. While music is the strongest foundation in her family and singing in the church since the age of 6, she knew at a young age that the stage is where she belonged. Cha-cha, (as her family always called her) is also a dancer, dancing most of her life. She started writing songs, raps, and poems in English & Creole at age 14.
At the age of 18 she was blessed enough to be part of City Kids Reparatory Company in New York City, where she got to dance with Salt-N-Pepa, open up for artist Usher and Next, receive coaching by vocal guru Ankh Ra, some coaching by Demi Moore, as well as many more opportunities too numerous to name. By the age of 20, she also joined Positive Youth Troop where she got more training in musical theater. These opportunities opened up more doors to her like doing voiceovers with singer Tamia and being able to perform the song Poetry Man with the legendary Phoebe Snow. Her skills were also revealed when she became hostess of a video show called Night Sessions where she interviewed rappers and was able to freestyle with them at the end of the show.
A devoted family woman, Cha-cha took a break to raise 5 boys & 1 girl. Being a mother of 6 she began teaching her children the arts and soon found that teaching was a gift. To date, she still utilizes her skills and teaches theater arts to children at Greater Works Fame Atlanta Center, Lilburn, GA. After some time she realized that she still had so much to give to the acting world so she put down the apron and got back on the stage as Vonquesha in Waiting on the Promise, (2010), with Elishia Dupree Productions, Atlanta, GA. The role Vonqesha portrayed a ghetto fabulous pregnant woman who tried to use aggression to force her boyfriends hand in marriage had a comedic and riveting effect on the audience. Shes also starred in some of T.Y. Martin Studios, Atlanta, Ga. Hit stage plays since that time.
Throughout the years, Natacha Cha-cha Martin has taken her characters, music, dance, & teaching abilities very seriously. The drive and passion that Cha-cha has in every area of her talents shows that she is determined to be successful in all that she dose.
