Additional Information:

I have been working as a news photographer since 2003. I worked at KFDX-TV-3 in WIchita Falls for two 6-month stints, one in 2003-04 and one in 2004-05. I have been employed as a news photographer by KAUZ-TV-6 in Wichita Falls, Texas since August, 2006. I was the managing editor, reporter, and still photographer for my campus newspaper, "The Wichitan," at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas during the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 semesters. I am currently a senior at Midwestern State majoring in Mass Communications AND History. I would like to work for National Geographic and History (channel). I am an amateur still photographer and have taken all of my own photos. I have met and interviewed Senator Bob Dole, Senator Craig Estes, Texas State Representative David Farabee, Texas State Representative Mac Thornberry, and Ben Stein for news organizations. I have met and spoken with Lloyd Kaufman, Tom Savini, George Romero, Wes Craven, and Clint Howard, to name a few.

On April 29th, 2008, Carrie Underwood performed in concert at the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas. I went backstage for exclusive footage for KAUZ-TV-6. During the summer of 2007, the largest flood in history hit the city of Wichita Falls. In the aftermath of this flooding, I worked two days as an on-air, on-camera T.V. reporter covering stories about disaster relief for flood victims. I was the Director of Lighting and Photography for a local indie movie, assisted in the direction of lighting and photography on the set of another local indie movie, and was a cameraperson for a zombie shoot for a third local indie movie. I have only performed in theatre once, as the voice of the lamp in the play "Aladdin and the Lamp" when I was in elementary school. I am a flautist and performed on-stage for choral and band performances throughout elementary and high school. I'm teaching myself drums and guitar as well as songwriting. I am currently writing two books--one is about my life, the other is a science fiction/fantasy novel for children. I have about 40,000 words so far in each book. I have written dozens and dozens of poems. I began writing poetry when I was seven years old. I have written a short horror story titled "Mr. Particular" and have a few waiting "upstairs" to be written. I am an amateur special effects makeup artist. I have turned myself into a zombie twice, Charlie Chaplin three times, a flapper, and a Day of the Dead bride. A few examples are included in my photos section.

I understand and speak Spanish fairly well. I am a political cartoonist and artist. I draw, paint, and sculpt. I have painted a wall mural at Bradford Elementary in Iowa Park, Texas and one in a private home. My political cartoons have been published in MSU's newspaper "The Wichitan." I have done privately commissioned drawings and paintings for individuals a few times, of, or for, their children.
