Casting "Jose" an American Film Institute Conservatory Thesis Film.
Jose is a man who sleeps in the TV repair shop where he also works, in Koreatown. He is troubled by a dark past, and keeps to himself to avoid being exposed and being ashamed. On the night of the riots, a very young, pregnant girl knocks at his door, in labor and in desperate need of help. He must decide whether to remain hiding in the shadows, or to help her; taking her through the riots to the ambulance and police, at the risk of being caught and taken to prison.
Rehearses: Mid October.
Shoots for 6 days between November 1-8.
Terms of emolument: Deferred payment under the AFI-SAG performer contract. Copy, credit, and gas provided.
