Auditions for "The Importance of Being Earnest".
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time to sign in and fill out paperwork.
No appointment needed. Auditions will be cold readings from the script. All roles are non-union and non-paid. Headshot and resume appreciated, but not required.
Two young gentlemen of leisure, Jack Worthing and his best friend Algernon Montcrieff, have taken to bending the truth in order to put some excitement into their lives. Worthing has invented a brother, Earnest, whose name he uses as an excuse to leave his dull life behind to visit Algy's lovely cousin Gwendolyn. Montcrieff decides to take the name Earnest when visiting Worthing's young and beautiful ward, Cecily. Things start to go awry when they all end up together in the country and their deceptions are discovered.
"The Importance of Being Earnest" performances are September 21, 22, 23*, 28, 29, 30*, October 4, 5, 6 Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances at 8 PM. *Sunday matinees at 2 PM.
