"Sister Act" Auditions.
When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent. Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
Audition songs can be of your choosing. Prepare your finest 16 bars from any song, because directors will not listen to anything in its entirety. Should call-backs be necessary, you will be required to sing a portion of a song from the show.
You may audition for multiple roles, but only once for each.
Come prepared to sing, read, and dance (comfortable clothing, shoes, sneakers...NO bare feet or flip-flops)
Audition packets may be picked up at the box office. These packets include reading selections from the script to be used at auditions and portions of songs required for call-backs (if necessary).
A piano and CD player will be available at the auditions. If you require an accompanist for your audition you must bring your own with you. If you are unable to bring a CD or need assistance please contact the office for assistance.
