Auditions for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame".
Runs: October 27 to November 12, 2017.
Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. Scripts are available to check out before and at the audition. Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song. Please bring sheet music in your key for the accompanist. Please have the cuts in your song marked very clearly, minimize loose sheets of paper, and minimize the number of page turns required of the pianist if possible. Unaccompanied auditions are discouraged.
If you will not arrive at auditions until 8:30 or later, please call so the director can be informed.
The 15 to 20 members of the Storytelling Ensemble will play the principal characters of Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Frollo, Phoebus, and Clopin, as well as the supporting characters of Jehan, Florika, Dupin, Frederic, King Louis XI, Saint Aphrodisius, and many assorted Gypsies, gargoyles, soldiers, and citizens of Paris.
The 12 to 20 members of the on-stage Cathedral Choir will bring this lush score to life. The show will feature a live orchestra.
This musical drama is based on Victor Hugo's famous novel about Quasimodo, the lonely bell ringer of Notre Dame de Paris. Filled with memorable characters like Esmeralda the beautiful gypsy, Phoebus the dashing soldier, and Frollo the conflicted priest, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame brings music from the Disney film to the stage.
