Casting360 allows casting directors, filmmakers, and talent recruiters to post casting calls with the purpose of hiring talent. Then talents are notified about new casting calls and are able to submit their profile to a specific project that they are interested in. From there, a recruiter will normally review all profiles of potential candidates and contact the best candidates directly by sending a message or calling the phone number listed in the talents profile.
Talent recruiters can also perform a customized search for talent (http://casting360.com/community.php) and contact candidates who grab their attention.
Make sure your main photo stands out above the rest. If you fit the role, you may get a call from just your main photo alone.

Below you can find the first few steps to help you get started. For more tips click here.
STEP 1 - Set up your profile. First of all, set up your profile with accurate information about yourself, your skills, your background and experience. Casting Directors search for talent based on their profile information such as age, gender, location, height, weight and skills.
STEP 2 - Upload your photos. Upload clear, well-lit, close-up and medium photos of yourself. Your photos are one of the key elements to getting your foot in the door.
STEP 3 - Submit to casting calls. The most important advice we can give you is to submit to as many casting calls as possible within your area. The most successful members are pro-active, persistent and never give up. They submit to casting calls just about every day and to a variety of casting calls just to get their feet wet and gain some experience. It's really a numbers game.
1. Make sure the photo file is loaded on your computer
2. Log in to your Casting360 account
3. On the upper navigation menu click on "My Profile"
4. Click one of the upload options - button with folder icon (upload from PC or mobile phone), upload from Facebook
*** Be sure to select at least one photo to be your main photo.
1. On the upper navigation menu click on "My Profile"
2. Hover one of your photos and click on "Edit Photo"
3. Below the photo in the pop up you should see the option – "Make Main"
Not all photos can be made main. Minimal size for the main photo is 320x430.
Your main photo is the first thing a casting director sees. This photo is your best chance of making a great first impression. If you fit the role, you may get a call from your main photo alone. As a main photo you should use a closely cropped photo of your face that clearly shows your features (black & white or color). Make sure all of your photos are bright and high resolution so they don't get blurry or fuzzy when you open them up to their full size. Minimal size required for the main photo is 320x430.
We DO NOT recommend using Self Portrait Cell Phone Photos for your profile. Your photos are one of the key elements to getting your foot in the door.
1. Make sure the video file is loaded on your computer
2. Log in to your Casting360 account

A casting call is a job posting specifically seeking actors, extras, dancers, models, musicians and other talent for various types of productions, such as, TV shows, movies, commercials, modeling and other entertainment related opportunities. The casting call will include the name of the production, a brief description of the project, where and when it is being filmed, and what type of individuals they are seeking and the rate of pay to be expected. You can search and view all the Casting360 casting calls from the "Casting Calls" page.
Extras or background players are people in the background of a scene. They generally do not have any lines to speak so acting experience is not required. Extras can make up to $250 a day just standing or moving behind the main actors in movies, TV shows, music video and commercials. There is a huge demand for extras all over the country. To check for opportunities in your area, go to the "Casting Calls" page.
1. Log in to your Casting360 account
2. On the upper navigation menu click on "Casting Calls"
You are able to perform zip code, keyword or advanced search. We recommend experimenting with all the available searches to see what fits you best.
When you find a casting call that's right for you, click on the title of that casting call. You will see the casting call description and breakdown. On the bottom of casting call description you will find the submission type - you can either write a personal message to the casting director and click "SUBMIT", apply via external link, or contact the casting director by phone or email. There are also so-called open casting calls, where you have to show up at a specific time in the location indicated.
How to stand out from the crowd, and not have your submission thrown in the trash.
1. Avoid sending a blank submission with "I am interested". Take your time and make each submission seem that it took time and effort before you press Submit.
2. If you have any questions or concerns, address them in your submission. There is usually no such thing as a dumb question.
3. Do not submit to something you do not fit the description for. Casting directors don't have time to filter through thousands of submissions everyday, don't make their job more difficult.
4. Do not forget to attach photos, videos or any other material you are asked for in casting call description.
Example of a good submission message:
"Hi,
I saw your casting call for the new film {Name of the film} on Casting360 website, and I would like to be considered for the role of {Name of the character}. This definately sounds like an amazing project, and I felt that I connected personally with {something that is related to the project}. I strongly believe I would be great for this role because of my acting experience {highlight some experience in the past}.
Thank you,
{Your name}"
If you don't have experience in acting, just write why you feel you are good for this part, what skills you have.

First of all, utilize all of Casting360's services. Put up clear pictures of yourself in your profile and keep your profile updated, then apply to all the casting calls in your area that are right for you. People who apply to several casting calls every week have a much higher chance of finding work than people who only apply to one or two. Perseverance is key! However, make sure that you are submitting to the castings that are right for you! If you submit to every casting on the site, you're just going to irritate a lot of casting directors that may have otherwise gotten you work in the future.
If you have no acting experience and you would like to see what it's like to work in this exciting field, we recommend that you start by submitting to casting calls seeking extras or background talent. No experience is needed. It's a great way to get on a set and see how it all comes together and you can make some extra cash. We also recommend getting your start working in short films or student films or looking into your local community theater. Feel free to register for acting classes/workshops posted on Casting360 under "Casting Calls." You can also utilize the Video Acting Lessons Casting360 has created for you. The Video Acting Lessons is a compilation of videos of professionals working in the entertainment business providing you with the tools necessary to prepare for an audition, teach you what to do once you've landed the job, and much much more. There are thousands of casting call opportunities that require little or no experience. It's a great way to just get your feet wet. Once you do get involved in a production, network as much as possible. In Hollywood, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Be persistent, be positive and stick with it.
NO. It is always unethical and, in most states, illegal for an agency to charge any upfront fees. An agency makes money by charging a commission on a job they help you get. Under no circumstances should you ever pay an agent an upfront fee of any kind. Another common trick is for agents or managers to refer you to expensive photographers. You always have the right to choose your own photographer. Beware of an agent or manager who insists that you use theirs. Please keep in mind Casting360.com in NOT an agency.
An agent will arrange for your appointments with clients and photographers. They will handle your schedule and take bookings, as well as negotiate rates and any other fees involved in an assignment. An agency will promote you with all of their clients in a variety of ways: through an agency book, over the Internet, and by sending your composites and book to clients for specific campaigns and any other pending jobs. They will collect fees on your behalf, and, in some cases, may advance you money.
