Additional Information:

Andrew David "Andy" Sorenson (born May 30, 1980) is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, director, producer, and writer. He is best known for the album, "Dream It Good," the novel "Spiritual Rags to Spiritual Riches," and as the former touring keyboardist for Kate Voegele.

Andrew was born in Findlay, Ohio, the son of Wanda Sorenson (now Wanda Bloomhuff), a lab tech, and professional basketball player, Dave Sorenson. He has Scandinavian and French ancestry. His brother, Steve, was born 16 months later. His sophomore year at Findlay High School, Sorenson's family moved from Findlay to the Cleveland suburbs of Hudson, OH.

He got his first bonafide telecaster in Akron that summer and began to learn on his own as well as with other musicians at Hudson High - he would gig around the area playing lead guitar for the bands "Crying Vases" and "Scanio", usually playing clubs and coffee shops at Kent State. After graduation, he played keyboards for two notable Cleveland bands, acid-jazz group, "Rhesus Amok," and jam band "Geronimo's Cadillac." It was during this time that Andrew began to develop his skills in guitar, bass, drums, vocals, as well as the art of songwriting and digital multi-tracking.

Andrew graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting in 2002, the same year his father Dave passed away from pancreatic cancer. He started a folk duo project called, "Shasta and the Kidd," and played locally in the Akron music scene. Several years later, he joined up with singer/songwriter Kate Voegele and toured with various national acts around the US. In 2005, he published the novel, "Spiritual Rags to Spiritual Riches," a semi-autobiographical account of life as a musician and writer.

During this time he also formed the jazz trio, "The Bodega Project," with Mark Tobik (bass) and Patrick O'Donnell (drums) and recorded the LP, "Ostinato View" with producer Michael Seifert at Cleveland's Ante Up recording studio. In 2008 he teamed up with producer Mike Brown at Lava Room Recording Studios and released his first full-length solo record, "Dream It Good." Most recently, Andrew continues to write on his blog "The Tangible Tangerine," comprised of articles, novels, and short stories - regarding sales, marketing, music, and family life.
