I really love techno/trance and jazz music but cut my teeth on lots of hair metal when I first picked up the guitar. I've been playing 28 years but never professionally. I did submit an audition to Limp Bizkit in 2003 and also auditioned in Los Angeles for the 2010 season of Americas Got Talent. Although both were a bust, I had fun and met some cools folks. In the real world, I have been a machinists assistant at my dads production machine shop and picked up IT experience helping set up computer networks in the southern New Mexico area and working for a healthcare corporation in Albuquerque. I have strong interests in music, martial arts, medicine, biochemistry, astronomy, and physics but will be finishing my BS in Business Administration soon and plan on committing to an advanced engineering path after that.
I was conditionally accepted to Albuquerque's UNM Doctor of Pharmacy program but ultimately chose not to pursue that. The irony is that a couple of years after that, I brushed up on studies for a week and went to sit for the PTCB Board Exam and passed in 2004 (without a formal program and ever setting foot in a clinical or retail pharmacy) and remained nationally certified as a pharmacy tech for the next eight years afterward while working my way from the ground up in contract pharmaceutical manufacturing. Although it wasnt what I first expected, I stayed on through three major changes in ownership and after a nine year stint in that gig I lost my taste for it. I started as an operator/tech, went on to lead and specialist positions, got into QA, went through business development and back to mfg. as a supervisor but decided it was time for a change. Just like Seraph said in The Matrix, it seems that fate is not without a sense of irony...just when I thought it couldn't get any more "ironic", I now find myself drawn toward an engineering path after being led to a brilliant and innovative technological powerhouse that really knows how to run a business successfully. While I jam to tame my wild inner beast, I will finish my business admin. undergrad first then pursue my new interest and goals with never before experienced passion. Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile and best of luck to you in your search for what serves your business needs best.
